Our Caribbean rallies have earned the reputation of being more fun than most can handle. Selling out almost 1 year in advance, our rallies are anything but a standard rally. By far, most of our rally participants have never been on a cruise ship and most have never vacationed in the locations we have our rallies. Therefore, we try to make it as simple and inviting to motorcycle riders as possible. Although the majority of our participants are currently American V-Twin riders, all motorcycle enthusiasts are invited, even if you don’t own a bike and dozens of different motorcycle brand riders are represented at every one of our rallies. It's just one big FUN happy family and since this family has grown so much we are adding new rally destinations.
In response to our West Coast participants that are traveling the longest distance to our Caribbean rally, we are bringing the fun to them. Our Mexican Riviera will not disappoint and has all the ingredients to soon rival our Caribbean rally in every category. It is currently scheduled to rotate years with our return of our Alaska rally. Mexican Riviera is scheduled on even years, 2008, 2010, etc. Alaska will be on odd years, 2009, 2011, etc. So if you miss them you wait 2 years. Our Caribbean rally is an annual event. If the Mexican Riviera sells out quickly, it’s possible it could become an annual event.
First: we changed the dress code aboard ship to typical motorcycle
attire. In other words…this ain’t no dress-up
cruise. Since we have our own private evening dining the most
formal we get is “leather required” on the 2 nights
the ship requires formal dining. Even our waiters wear motorcycle
t-shirts, leather jackets, etc. and they are just as happy
as you for our dress code. As far as weather temperatures,
expect mid 80’s both in and out of the water and if
it does happen to rain in 1 location we will be miles
away the next morning and of course we have the ship which
is kind a floating Las Vegas.
Speaking of dining... aboard ship food is available 24 hrs
a day for the length of the rally and is included in your
price. Alcohol and soft drinks are not included and are average
priced. Also, no need to worry about tips. They are also included
in your price. Of course, all ship entertainment is also included.
So far...wear your normal clothes, don’t worry about
tips aboard ship -- all entertainment is included!
Due to increasingly poor air carrier "on time" arrival percentages, we no longer book airfare as part of your cruise package. Therefore, travel arrangements to the departing port are at your expense. Since our cruises leave on Sunday, we recommend arriving on Friday or Saturday to begin your adventure early by socializing with as many as 1,000 of our early rally arrivals from all over the world. It also gives you some time to get acclimated to the climate, time change and to get rid of any jet lag before you board the ship. Our port locations also offer many sites to see. We do secure the entire host hotel and most of a second hotel, just for our rally passengers. The host hotel is the site of our Bon Voyage party Saturday night before the cruise on Sunday. When you call to make reservations at either of our recommended hotels, you must mention you're with the Hogs on the High Seas Rally or they will tell you that it's sold out. By arriving a day or 2 prior, most can save enough on their airfare to pay for their hotel stay and parking. See TRANSPORTATION/HOTEL page for more info.
Proper ID: To first get aboard ship you must provide proper
identification. See the FAQ
page for more detailed information Starting Jan.1
2007 a passport will be required
for anyone leaving and re-entering into the U.S.
Before I forget to mention it and because so many people
ask. We (Dean & Debbie) will be there and YES we have
been riding for many years and YES Debbie has been riding
her own Heritage since 1993. We were never travel agents before
we dreamed up this rally and this rally is all we do, 100+
hours per week. We are the sole developers of the rally and
we are the chief, cook and bottle washers of this event. We
will see you at check in, at every show, dinner, at the onshore
parties…about 20 hours a day. Yeh, we're the ones that
answer the phones, write the newsletters, update the website
and sent out the invoices too. So if you have a question or
comments come see us or call us at 1-800-444-8795.
Now: on to the good stuff. Vendors. What would a rally be
without vendors? So we presently invite about 20-25 industry
leading motorcycle related vendors aboard the ship, pay for
their balcony room, food, vendor
booth area, loading of their merchandise
on the ship, advertisement etc.
Just so they will be in such a great mood that they
can’t resist giving away a minimum of $5,000 each of
their product to our rally passengers..no purchase required.
If they have a good week in sales you can expect much more
than the $5,000 minimum. Some vendors regularly giveaway over
$15,000 in prizes each year. Almost every night we randomly
draw by cabin room number to give away the prizes. We
also give away vendor prizes in our Poker Walk, 50/50 and
our HOHS Contests. All purchased vendor merchandise
and items won at our nightly drawings,
games, and contests will be shipped to your home address.
Kinda hard to put a new engine in your luggage. I know it
sounds too good to be true but you can expect approx. $300,000
in FREE giveaways just from the vendors.
To keep the rally spirit going we have created special biker
games and events on ship. Fun is our sole mission on this
rally. So how about a belly smacker contest, best beard, buxom
wenches contest, pirate biker bingo, poker walk, t-shirt swap,
etc. Check them out on our ENTERTAINMENT
page of our website. All are exclusive to our rally participants,
some games pay as much as $20,000
plus to the winners. You can expect $60,000
plus to be given away at these events alone. Winning money
can be fun too! Of course the ship has one of the largest
casinos on water for you natural born winners that want to
try your luck.
For the groups that like to travel together: Why not give
away $3,000 to the group with the most participants, then
we will draw from the 2nd-5th place groups for $2,000, and
6th - 10th place will draw for another $1,000. Don’t
have to be part of a club just give your group a name. Check
it out on our RALLY NEWS page.
Gotta have a grand prize…so how about a new bike.
Say, worth between $25 - $40,000, or maybe more than one bike,
like in 2006. No raffle tickets,
just a random drawing on our last day. Thought you might like
that! We will also throw in a 1 hour DVD of the rally in High
Def for the camera hams.
Now… we are going a shore of course and that’s
a whole 'nother story.
For those that like to party..we have the best party locations. How about
Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville,
Hard Rock Café, Carlos’n Charlie’s, Senor Frog's, Cabo Wabo, and Carlos O'Brian's, all
scheduled in the afternoon so you can plan your Island adventures
in the mornings. No worries about riding your bikes if you’ve
had a few to many. We’ll get you back to the ship on
time. Providing we can find you. See our ENTERTAINMENT
section on the web page and the SHORE
EXCURSION page for onshore adventures. Pace yourself,
trying to do everything on your first trip will ruin your
vacation and besides you will want to come back next year
anyway. Here’s another twist for you. Some of our recommended
shore locations actually give our rally participants a 15%
discount simply by showing your H.O.H.S card. No price gouging
just because you’re at a rally. They appreciate your
business.
Our goal is to provide the most fun you can have at a rally.
By keeping our rally size small in number (under 3,000) you
will meet and make friends with more motorcycle enthusiasts
at our rallies than any other rally. Per our rally participant
surveys, common statements were:
“it’s almost too much fun” and “I
don’t have to book a hotel room in any state because
I have friends everywhere now”. Our first and 2nd years
99.8% satisfaction survey should also give you a good indication
of what you can expect.
So register now. Unlike all other rallies, if you’re
not on board you missed it and if you bump into anyone that
was there...you’re gonna hear about it.
