When making your own Air and Ground transportation arrangements please read below.
Coming in a day or two early for the cruise gives you several advantages
Less stress in case your flights are delayed!
Gives you extra time in case of inclement weather.
Flights are more readily available
during non week-end days into the cruise port city because
the cruise lines reserves most of the air flights for their
customers on the sail dates. (11/2 or 11/9).
Better chance of using your air miles
Flights
are also less expensive during the week days.
Best of all it gives you a chance to start the party early at the host hotel.
There are 3
airports to choose from. Daytona(DAB), Melbourne(MLB) and the most popular,
Orlando(MCO). Melborne is the closest, also usually the most expensive
and most difficult to book a flight into. Most likely choice
will be Orlando. Takes Approx. 1 ½ hours from plane
touch down to be at the port. That’s 30 minutes check
through the airport and a 1hr. bus ride. Although Orlando
is a big airport it is totally organized. You don’t
feel like you’re in a foreign country, people are very
friendly, everything is where it is supposed to be and runs
smoothly. Disney’s influence has definitely rubbed off
on the Orlando airport and the bus service is super efficient
and comfortable.
If you are making your own air arrangements into the Port
Canaveral area on the same day as the ship sails and returns:
Arrival Flights on Nov 2nd should arrive no later than 1:00pm. You must
be on the ship by 2:30pm
Departure Flights on Nov 9th should depart no earlier than 1:30 pm. Remember it takes about 45 minutes travel time from the Orlando airport to the ship, and it takes about 2 hours from the time you get to the airport wait through security and actually get to your gate.
Remember to book your Ground Transportation, shuttle services and car rentals information is listed below. ( its a 45 minute trip to the port from Orlando airport)
Due to Royal Caribbean & Air Line regulation changes we will no longer be offering Airfare through Royal Caribbean as of October 15th 2007.
If you have already requested your airfare as part of your rally package before October 15th, 2007 your request will be honored, the following rules will apply.
The cruise-line is
very knowledgeable, reliable, and professional.
They choose
the best times and most reliable airline carriers eliminating
the stress and confusion of your trip.
They are also a priority
customer to the airlines.
Price includes your bus transfers to
and from the ship
We want the entire trip to be a
good experience and the cruiseline makes it their business
to get you to your cruise departure port on time.
There is a $20.00 administration fee to cancel your cruiseline airfare until August 15, 2008
After August 15th there is a $ 75.00 charge
for name changes or corrections, cancellation of airfare,
or changes to air departure.
The cruise-line chooses the most reliable airline carrier
approx. 30 days prior to your cruise date. This allows flexibility
in case of airline problems such as strike, bankruptcy,
schedule changes, etc.
Once your flight is booked as part of your rally package.
The cruise-line will monitor your flight. They know if and
why your flight is late and can delay ship departure if
needed. You book your own airfare…you're on your own.
The cruise-line greets you at the Orlando airport, directs
you to your luggage, you collect your luggage, they load
your luggage on a bus, transports you to the ship and transfers
your luggage on board the ship. Reverse order when cruise
is over

Port Canaveral
We are proud to announce our latest and biggest single improvement
to our Caribbean Rally. Port Canaveral!! It’s exactly
what we wanted, needed and our passengers deserve. Port Canaveral
is like a small Midwest town. Organized, super clean, well
landscaped, hardly any traffic, (only 1 highway) everyone
speaks English, no-one asking for a tip, no more stress, frustration
or dreaded missed flights because of poor or no communication.
Only 1 ship docked at our port (OURS). Inside parking for
cars, pick-ups, and bikes. Outside parking for trucks, R.V.’s,
and campers only 200 yards from the terminal. Plus handicap
parking only 50 yards from the terminal. You’ll be amazed
!! This is how it should be done and it’s beautifully
landscaped on top of that.
Directions to Port
Canaveral:
Driving either North or South on I-95, take exit 205 East
to Hwy 528 East the Beeline. Drive 11.5 miles on Hwy 528 East
and exit to the “A” cruise terminals onto SR 401
North. Drive 1 mile on SR 401 North and exit right to cruise
terminals. Follow signs to correct cruise terminal. The second
terminal to your left is Cruise Terminal 9/10 Royal Caribbean's,
Mariner of the Seas
Parking at Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminals: is paved, gated,
and under 24-hour surveillance. Parking is located at each
terminal and is well sign-posted. Passengers at Cruise Terminal
9/10 have a choice of outdoor parking or the new six-level
parking garage.
There are special areas designed for parking for the disabled,
however they do not provide free parking unless it is (1)
a vehicle with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts,
or foot or hand controls, for use by a person who has a disability,
or (2) a vehicle that is displaying the Florida Toll Exemption
permit (call 1-800-983-2435 #2 for exemption form).
Otherwise, parking fee is $12.00 per day for vehicles up to
20 feet in length and $20.00 per day for vehicles over 20
feet. The total amount for the time the vehicle is to be parked
must be paid in full upon entering the parking area. Visa,
MasterCard, Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars and Cash
are accepted in payment of fees. All fees stated above are
subject to change without notice by Canaveral Port Authority.

We have been asked in the past to recommend a shipper to ship our passengers bikes to our events, so you can ride before the cruise. We have been looking but never quite found a company we could recommend that meets our standards. Some were good price, but slow or careless with your bike and frequent small damages. Some were expensive with the same results. This year we needed a shipper to move our HOHS Dialysis Raffle Bike, back from Daytona so now we had to find someone and our shipping luck in the past had been poor. We have shipped twice....damaged twice. But while we were scratching our heads in Daytona this year, one of our passengers and helper Kenny Detig recommended we check this guy out.
Sam Terry of KEYBOARD MOTORCYCLE SHIPPING. We are hard to impress but I've never seen a set up like this. They go over your bike with a fine tooth comb before it's ever loaded. They found stuff I never even noticed and I cleaned this bike every day for 9 days. After the white glove show bike inspection, your bike is put into it's very own pallet on wheels and secured by the bikes wheels not by ratcheting it down until the suspension bottoms, sometimes blowing out the seals. Not only can your bike not move but the pallett extends out all around so no other bike can even get near your bike. With over 85 tractors, 110 trailers and a warehouse on both coasts, it's like the Fed-Ex of motorcycle moving. Talk about service. Say your bike got the paint scratched while you were at Strugis and you really didn't want it to show up back home with that scratch? They will do the paint work for you (for a fee), and when it's delivered, your baby is like new again, and that includes custom paint touch-ups too. So if you want to have your bike shipped anywhere in the US, these guys should be your first call, mention you're a HOHS rally crewmember. Maybe in the future, if enough of our passengers start using them we can get a rally discount.
There are plenty of hotels within 3 miles of the port, but the one we chose to block off rooms for our
rally is the Radisson, which is also the closest. It
has it all and is 5 minutes away from the port.
Plus, they provide FREE shuttle service to and from
the port on the day we depart and return. You simply
arrange your shuttle time when you register. And, if
you’re driving, FREE parking all week while you’re
on the cruise. That’s worth $90+ at least!
As you enter Port Canaveral and pass through the very 1st red light it is about 100 yards on your right It's the one that reads "Welcome Hogs On The High Seas Rally" on there road sign.
And the public beach is
less than ¾ mile away. But wait, there’s
more. Within 1 mile of the Radisson there are
4 rental car companies. Budget, Avis, Thrifty and Hertz.
All will pick you up or bring you back to the Radisson.
Especially nice if you fly into Orlando, rent a car,
see the sights and want to drop your car off at the
hotel. Speaking of sights. Kennedy Space Center is within
sight of the hotel, Daytona and Disney are a 40-60 min.
interstate drive away and Space Coast H-D is approx.
20 minutes away and we will have bike rental info. announced
later. This is a very friendly bike riding area. Never
heard a horn blow while we were there.
The Radisson Hotel itself is gorgeous. Waterfall pool,
Tiki bar, restaurants and it’s sea coral pink,
what a great way to start out your trip. For our 2007 rally they are adding 2 more Tike bars by the waterfall pool and talks of a live band, drinks, dancing girls etc. in the Pavillion located in the back lot of the Radisson. This facility has room for 800 people inside.
Hundreds of our rally passengers arrive early each
year to start the party on Friday and Saturday before
we ship out on Sunday. In 2006 over 500 of our passengers
bought up all the rooms 5 months before the cruise date
in November. In 2007 our passengers booked up the entire hotel 11 months in advance. Expect up to 900 of our passengers from all over the world there
on Friday and Saturday nights this year, plus the local bikers have now discovered we're there.
